MUSIC

I really enjoy listening to music; but I enjoy producing it even more.  Ever since my great-aunt Shirley taught me how to play Rock of Ages and Silent Night on the organ, I have been into playing instruments.  I have had the honor and privilege to sit under the tutelage of many quality musicians and musical instructors.  And then God just gave me a hunger to develop my skills and gifts in musical composition, performance and technology.

Music is a great way to express what is going on inside and get it out for the world to hear.  God has done amazing work in my heart over the years.  Many of my original songs come from trying to reconcile my faith with my experience.  It is my hope that people will connect with and benefit from my music.

Over the years, I have been called upon to write songs for various projects.  I was able to write music for a project for Logos Bible Software as well as for the background music in a documentary film.  In addition, I also write music for translation into other languages and had the opportunity to do this for some friends as they went to Uganda on a missions trip.  I hope you enjoy listening to this music as much as I enjoyed making it!

Over a long period of time, God has been working in my life to birth a series of original music. Now, I’m releasing eight demo songs to share with you. God willing, I will be able to get these songs produced in a professional recording studio sometime soon. Thank you so much for listening!

Congregational Worship

I have had the opportunity to lead worship in a variety of churches made up of different races, ethnicities, cultures, sub-cultures, and age groups.  All of this diversity has given me an understanding and appreciation for the different ways people connect with God through worship.  It has also given me a greater understanding of how God wants me to steward His gifts for the nurturing of His church.  All of this experience has given me a deep appreciation for our creative God, has expanded my tastes into a diversity of musical genres, and has built my technical skill in worship and creative arts.

Worship Leading

One of the things I get to do week after week is to lead God's people in worship.  In response to who God is and what He has done, we cannot help but respond, for He is worthy! Our worship starts in the head, moves to the heart, and finishes in the hands.  The more we know God, the richer, deeper, and sweeter our worship will become.  Worship is more than the songs that we sing, but a lifestyle of responding to God's matchless worth all throughout the week.  Through this ministry, it is my desire that our vision of God will develop, and our love for Christ will flourish!

Special Services

There's a reason why they call them "special services".  Events like Christmas, Good Friday, and Easter are big events around church -- not only because of the number of people that attend these services, but moreover because they help us to remember.  We are not stuck in the past; but it is a part of us, and we a part of it.  Its significance is not lost to us.  And so we look back upon old events with fresh eyes, new perspective, and renewed appreciation.
